Animal Tabletop RPG Recommendations
Anthropomorphic (ie. human-like) animals have long captured the imagination of gamers everywhere. In fact, there's even a fictional subgenre, "Furry" fiction, for fans of humanoid animals.
Animal characters can be found in a wide range of sources: comic books (eg. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Usagi Yojimbo), anime series (eg. Aggretsuko, Beastars), children's book series (eg. Rats of NIMH, Redwall) and movies (eg. from Disney or Studio Ghibli).
All of these fictional sources can provide rich material for a tabletop role-playing campaign ... but not every RPG is equally suited for them. We have collected below a variety of games, both ones specifically made for animal characters, and generic games that can easily support animal characters.

RPGS for Animal-Like Humanoids (Multiple)
The games included in this group are all specifically made for animal -like humanoid characters. Each one offers a very different setting: a world of pastoral travel, the medieval setting of Robin Hood, the modern comic book world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and finally a space cowboy mining outpost.
RPGs For Animals With Human Intelligence (Multiple)
In these games players play as non-humanoid, "regular" animals (albeit ones with human-level intelligence). Those animals could be bunny rabbits or mice, but in either case they must face the threat of predators and the environment.
Generic RPGs That Support Animal Characters (Multiple)
Many game systems aren't specifically designed for "furry" characters, but are designed to support a wide variety of characters ... including furries. These generic systems won't have animal-specific content in them, but may provide a superior game system.
